IMPLEMENT RUSSIAN SANCTIONS!

NOTES
1) Rally today Wed. Jan. 31 at 4-5pm at Rep. Smith’s Freehold Office – 112 Village Center Drive Freehold, N.J. Please share!
CALL TOPIC:  On the January 29th deadline to implement Russian sanctions passed into law by Congress, the Trump administration announced it has decided to not implement new sanctions, stating “If the law is working, sanctions on specific entities or individuals will not need to be imposed because the legislation is, in fact, serving as a deterrent.”
CALL SCRIPT
1) Let’s call Congressman Smith’s office in D.C. at 202-225-3765…
Caller: Hello, I am a constituent of Rep. Smith’s; may I speak with the staffer who handles foreign affairs?
I strongly urge Rep. Smith to call on President Trump to implement the Russian Sanctions signed into law in August 2017. Rep. Smith voted for passage of The Countering America’s Adversaries Through Sanctions Act and it passed through Congress with overwhelming support and was signed into law. However Trump has decided to not implement new sanctions, showing that he does not take seriously the US intelligence community’s assessment that Russia deliberately interfered in America’s 2016 presidential election and tried to tip the vote in Trump’s favor. Trump’s decision to not identify or implement sanctions against Russian organizations and individuals is unacceptable, disregards the will of the public and Congress, and threatens our democracy. Thank you.
2) Let’s call our Senators (Booker D.C. 202-224-3224, Newark 973-639-8700; Menendez D.C. 202-224-4744, Newark 973-645-3030)…
Caller: Hello, I am a constituent of the Senator’s; may I speak with the staffer who handles affairs?
I strongly urge the Senator to call on President Trump to implement the Russian Sanctions signed into law in August 2017. Thanks to the Senator’s vote, The Countering America’s Adversaries Through Sanctions Act passed through Congress with overwhelming support and was signed into law.
